JarSquad did a special “take over” day at Culture Club this month, and hosted a co-learning Assembly where we made pickles and fermented foods inspired by recipes from around the world!
Carmen, Tess & Rachel shared the processes they use at JarSquad, including making our own fermented sauerkraut from cabbage and carrots for our Community Larder. At JarSquad, anyone who contributes ingredients, clean jars, or takes part in preping fruit & vegetables earns “JarSquad Currency”. This meant we could trade in our time for yummy treats to take home too!
