When Sarah, a local resident, first met us she had never performed any of her poetry live…. look at her now! Reading about her beautiful rescue dog, Mickey.

Mickey arrived at Sarah’s directly through the Village Hub. We had a new visitor who stopped a couple of times on her way to the chemists with her little dog. The poor lady was incredibly unwell and had to stop for quite a while to catch her breath.

Incredibly sadly, she died suddenly. The dog was left with no one and because her neighbours knew that she had been visiting us, they asked The Village Hub for help. We obliged and Sarah was a foster dog parent for a while as we knew how much she loved dogs.

Since then, Sarah has been able to convince her landlord that Mickey is a great pet, and has been reccommended as a therapy dog, just is the affection he shows Sarah, and the love she has for him.
