Sound Foraging Walk

Let’s explore the flavours, smells, sights, sounds and natural environment of Blockhouse Park!!

We joined Tess Wilmot (permaculture teacher and expert wild food forager) and Jodie Saunders (musician and sound enthusiast) for a guided foraging/listening walk around Blockhouse Park. We explored and learned more about the plants and trees in the park, and listened to our surroundings through creative activities – as well as using microphones to listen more closely to the environment. It was an exciting chance to re-discover a familiar place!

Here are some photos from our walk:

This event is part of the Stoke Village Summer of Fun, and is supported by the Growing The Village Hub project (in partnership with Take A Part, and co-funded using money from the National Lottery by Arts Council England, Heritage Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund).
