We were invited by Green Minds Plymouth and The Box to contribute a piece of writing about a local artist who had taught at the original arts college just down the road from us!
The piece was based on Ben Hartley’s A Devon Lane, loosely compared with a Turner, “Rain Steam and Speed” and we had a blast writing it!
We brought a group to visit the painting in the Box, – a fair few were not that impressed! – but as we began thinking about how it made us feel a deluge of words and images came out! Specific thanks must go to Greg Paulley, Jan Ward, Sue Tasker, Oly Skulsky – whose words formed the piece that is not proudly displayed on the National Gallery Website, here.
You can view the Green Minds Plymouth article about Plymouth’s Link with the London Gallery on their website, and their article about Wild Words at The Village Hub also on their website.
