The Village Square

The Village Square was developed in XXXX as a partnership between The Village Hub, Stoke In Bloom and Plymouth City Council.

Built on the site of a derelict public toilet block on the edge of Blockhouse Park (at the junction of Masterman Road and Mount Pleasant Terrace in Stoke Village), The Village Square is a new public square and garden maintained by the community.

The Village Square replaced a space of antisocial behaviour. Designed and planted by residents, the space put a meeting area back at the heart of the community, a space where we can meet and be together.

We use The Village Square all year round for activities & events – including during our annual Fun Day, for the Christmas Tree Lights switch on, and for Community Apple Pressing in the autumn.
